It is a true passion to teach children with exceptionalities. During your career you will be provided with many opportunities to meet some amazing students with many gifts and talents.
I believe that nothing in this world is impossible. I believe every child has an inner strength and a willingness to want to be more than they are. A teacher has to truly give all they are to their students. I feel that if you truly love what you are doing then it isn’t a job. The minute it becomes a job, then I will know this isn’t my path anymore. Teaching in general has its daily stressors and battles and many days can present struggles and challenges. At times I know I will feel that I have hit a plateau, but there is no such thing as a plateau for a child. Regardless they have made progress, no matter how big or small, it is progress.
I believe you can achieve anything you want in life if you have the courage to dream it, the intelligence to make a realistic plan, and the will to see that plan through to the end.
I believe that everyone has in-built purpose and magnificence and I very much enjoy speaking to individuals and groups in order to draw out that potential.
This blog will provide a place for educators to find positive strategies and ideas that promote academic, social and emotional growth.
Education is a reflective practice.
